Moody: Jake Ganus was hired as the 13th head coach of the Moody Blue Devils. Now entering his 4th season, Jake Ganus' record is an impressive 31-8 for an .794 win percentage. The highlights include Moody's first ever 10+ win season (3), first semi-finals and state championship appearance in school history, 7 playoff wins (3 total prior) and 3 straight seasons with a player signed to play in the SEC. Moody has also been ranked in the top 10 for 35 straight weeks. Moody had been ranked a total of 12 weeks over the previous 44 seasons before Ganus arrived.
In his 3 seasons as head coach, 27 players have signed to play at the next level, including 15 D1 signees. In the previous 44 years, Moody had sent 4 players to play at the D1 level. The individual accolades of the student athletes has been exciting. This includes:

- 2 Alabama/Mississippi All Star participants
- 3 North/South All Star participants

Post-NFL: After his short stint in the league, he started working in the warehouse for his wife, Peyton (Owner of These Three Boutique). After 6 months working with his wife, he was able to finish his teaching degree and get into coaching at Thompson High School with Mark Freeman. Ganus coached the LB's all 5 years and was named Recruiting Coordinator for his last 3 seasons. Co-DC for his last season. Helped Thompson win 3 consecutive 7A State Championships 19', 20', 21'. Coach Ganus also had 14 Linebackers sign to play at the next level in just 5 seasons at Thompson HS.
Vikings: Signed in 2016 and appeared in 4 games before being released. Bounced from practice squad to practice squad before deciding it was time to start his next chapter.
Georgia: Transferred to UGA following the shut down of the UAB Football Program. After just 11 months on campus, he was voted a Permanent Team Captain by his teammates and coaches. He was also named the "Vince Dooley Team MVP" after his team leading 100+ tackle season. UGA went on to win 10 games in 2015 capped off by defeating Penn State in the Tax Slayer Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida. The Bulldogs finished with a top 10 defense in the country. Ganus was also a Semi-Finalist for Campbell Trophy (Academic Heisman).
UAB: Making the transition from QB to Safety, Ganus started 33/36 games for the blazers (3 missed due to injury). He led UAB in tackles in 2013 & 2014 and was named an CUSA All-Conference player. Before the program was shut down, Ganus had his eye on the all time leading tackler, being 3rd on the list before transferring to The University of Georgia. Out of high school, Ganus had one division 1 offer. After the program was shut down: he received 51 scholarship offers in 6 days.
Chelsea: Was named 1st team All-State QB, 5A Back of The Year finalist and the Shelby County Player of the Year. Also a standout on the Chelsea basketball team, Ganus became the all time leading scorer in school history his senior year.
Married to high school sweetheart Peyton Thomas Ganus & they have 2 kids Bentley (6) and Beau (2) and current Auburn Football player & Moody graduate, A'Mon Lane-Ganus, joined the Ganus family in summer of 2019.
