Erik and Coach Ganus are headed into Year 9 working together. Over the 9 seasons, "Coach K" has been a huge part in his teams' continued success. While working at Thompson, Coach K was a part of 3 state championship teams and helped 7 Wide Receivers sign to play Division 1 Football. Taking the leap over to Moody with Coach Ganus has proven Coach K was more than ready to call plays and lead one of the top offenses in the state for 3 years in a row. His three years leading the Blue Devils offense, has been the most points scored in school history. (24' #1, 22' #3, 22' #2) This past season he broke his own record (489 in 22') with 520 points, which was good for 6th in the state. Our offense has been 50/50 Run or Pass for 3 seasons straight. Consistency and taking what the defense gives has been a staple in a Coach K led offense. In the past 3 seasons, Coach K has helped 15 offensive players sign to play at the next level. For the 3rd consecutive season, Coach K has produced a college quarterback. Cole McCarty - Kennesaw State, Bryton Usrey - Lyon College, Charlie Johnston - Georgia Southern.


Erik was a stand out 3 sport athlete at Plainview High School in Rainesville, Alabama. After earning numerous accolades as a QB, Point Guard, and Outfielder for the Bears, he went on to play college baseball at Sneed State. He then finished his undergrad at the University of Alabama in 2012.

Erik is married to Karlee and they have two sons Rafe (3), Vance (2 mo's)
