Bio
After spending years in pediatric healthcare at Children’s of Alabama, Colby founded AMP Strength & Conditioning in 2012 to work specifically with special populations and the general public to further health and wellness through a tailored approach to fitness that fits each individual’s needs. As his career developed, sport-specific training and performance became the main focus of his training. In 2022, Colby brought AMP Strength & Conditioning to join the Moody family and work with multiple sports, including football, baseball, softball, basketball, track, and wrestling. Through an evidence-based approach to training through biomechanics, strength, and conditioning, he specializes in injury prevention, mobility, and working with return-to-play athletes to get them back on the field and into their sport, performing at their best. Colby closely monitors all player performance data utilizing the Titan monitoring system. He also holds multiple nutrition certifications, specifically in Sports Performance Nutrition, by developing a direct relationship with each student, educating them, and monitoring their progress, he ensures our athletes are properly fueled to perform and recover.
He is currently furthering his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, pursuing degrees in Sports Physiology, Rehabilitation Science, and Education.
Colby and his wife, Mandy, have 2 children. Mary Faith, 14, and Ian, 7.
